The Alfa Nero is back in service after a successful trial run.
There has been a complete renovation. De Groot has replaced the engines in the engine rooms of the bow and stern, supplying and installing a MAN marine diesel engine type D2862LE444, with a power of 1000 hp at 1800 rpm with an Advance gearbox.
On the bow they delivered and installed a complete new bow thruster installation of Ballegooy, type 1000, powered by a Scania (V8) DC16. In addition a new generator set of 60 kVA has been installed.
Furthermore new winches and a loading system, including height meters, have been installed. The wheelhouse has been re-clad and a new 2-wire system with new touchscreens has been installed in the wheelhouse and engine rooms.
